NordLB justified this with the ongoing “realignment and redimensioning”. At the same time, the bank announced that the Supervisory Board had appointed Olof Seidel to the Executive Board. Accordingly, Seidel has been performing the duties of CFO and COO as a Plenipotentiary for around one and a half years. The NordLB must be rescued because of high losses due to bad ship loans with 3.6 billion euros. On Thursday, the European Commission gave the green light.
